So you’re new to Fairyland, and you’re wading through the advice, tips, tutorials, and so on. Feeling a little overwhelmed? That’s okay! I felt the same way, and until I hit about level 10 or 12, I was playing blindly. After reading tutorials on various sites, I finally started getting the hang of it, but it was still overwhelming trying to visit multiple sites for all the info I needed.
With this site, you don’t have to! It’s all here on ALFFLOVE!! If you’re not yet a member of the Facebook group “ALFF,” some of the links at the bottom of the page may not work for you because they will take you to areas of our group page on Facebook. If you would like to join ALFF, click here. You don’t have to be a certain level to join. The group is open to everyone! This quick start guide to Fairyland is NOT meant to replace our amazing collection of guides and tutorials that you can find on our website. You'll need those if you don’t want to have to go back and replant things because you missed critters at Level 1, 2, and so on. This is simply here to give you a few helpful tips as you get started. |

1. Collect your three hourly gold and gold from Facebook friends who play Fairyland, as often as
possible, by clicking on the Find Gold tab at the top of your garden. Don’t forget that after you do this, you should also try reviving a wilting plant in someone's garden by clicking on the “All Gardens” link at the top of your garden, then click on the link "Find wilting gardens" to locate one. Any garden with a 3 in its description has wilting plants. Watering a wilter every time you collect your “three hourly gold” should get you some extra gold. It might take 2 tries or so before you get the snail. I have, on occasion, not gotten the snail. You also have the option of purchasing gold from Fairyland, which helps support the developer and his costs so he can come up with new aspects of the game, as well as make donations to the Rainforest Conservation Cause on behalf of the players. |

 It's easy to just follow along and get bad advice, but sometimes that can make you have to start all over or redo a lot of missed steps |
2. If you don't plan to buy gold, you'll want to add friends for Fairyland so you can collect the friend gold this feature provides, as well as have more visitors. You can add people as you go, one at a time. But don't forget to add them wisely and restrict their access to your information. Facebook has many guides on how to do this quickly and easily. Adding strangers means opening up all of your personal info, as well as your posts, to anyone anywhere, so please check your security settings before you do it! If you choose not to add random friends for the game, collecting gold will be much more difficult unless you have a LOT of friends playing Fairyland since you are limited to just collecting your three hour gold, or unless you plan to buy gold, which definitely has added benefits like the stardust. More Gold = More Fun! |

3. Visit the ALFF Level Up Guide. It will help keep you from missing any wildlife along the way. If you don’t take a little time on that page to do some planning, always keeping an eye on what wildlife have been coming and going, and so on, you will be revisiting that page at a later date to replant things in order to get the wildlife you missed. |

4. Hunt the wildlife listed on step #3 while you are trying to attract them at the same time. If you are on level one and trying to attract the Kiwi, go hunting for a Kiwi in someone else’s garden too! This helps you reach Astral, Legendary, Legendary 2, etc. in a much more effective manner. 5. Be sure to use ORGANIC food whenever possible, and advertise your garden on the main wall of ALFF, the Fairyland Wildlife Tabs, AND in the Fairyland Forums. You can NEVER advertise too much, and there are lots of spots in our forums to advertise your garden link as well! I like to advertise my garden link every time I put out new food, to ensure my wildlife gets spotted! |

Never expect wildlife to just come to you.
You always have to go hunting for it with a plan, and a little luck never hurts!
