Pressing CTRL and the - key at the same time will make it smaller.
ALFF is not "for" rules or "against" rules. We believe everyone should play however they like.
That being said, some gardens will have rules. They are usually posted on the garden info, garden status, or the garden's back wall.
They are not official Fairyland rules, but rather they are requests a garden owner has for the actions of any garden visitors.
If you do not like or want to follow the posted rules, please remember that there are hundreds of thousands of active gardens in Fairyland,
and many are "No Rules" gardens! No Rules garden owners are thrilled to have you stop by!!
Please try and respect that when other players choose to have rules in "their" garden, it may be for many different reasons and just move on if you don't like the rules.
It's easy enough to find other gardens to water without causing stress or anxiety for the garden owners and yourself by going against their rules.
Some will even block you for breaking their rules. There are no official referees in Fairyland, but you can always report a post or another
Fairylander to the game's developer should you face harassment , spam, or abuse.
Here are some of the rules Fairyland players have created and their meanings:
No rules
In these gardens, players do not have any rules they want you to follow. You can do whatever you want, spot as many critters as you want, etc.
No blanket watering
This term is no longer applicable with the changes made on 01/17/11 as now you can water every single second. But it had meant you are not allowed to water all or most plants at once because it used to mean if all of the plants are watered at the same time, some wildlife could get missed since some of them only stay in the garden less than 5 minutes. It also stopped other players watering for 5 minutes. Again, this is no longer an issue.
Leave a message when finding wildlife/visiting
It means a player wants you to leave a message if you visit their garden or find their wildlife. Some players find it rude if you don't thank them when finding wildlife in their garden, so it's a good idea to always leave a message after spotting something.
Virgins only/Virgin friendly garden
It means a garden owner wants to offer an opportunity for players who have not found a particular wildlife yet to find it easier. If you already have that particular wildlife, you are expected to stand back if another player who hasn't found that wildlife yet is in the garden, and allow them to water freely.
No private gardeners
It means if your garden is private, you are not allowed to water in this garden. Some players feel it's unfair if they don't have a chance to water in your garden when you can water in theirs.
Don't DD plants
It means a player does not want their plants diamond dusted by other players. Some players like to plan their gardens far ahead and dusting plants means their plants get to 'Fully Grown' at the wrong times. It might ruin the planning, so it's always a good idea to ask whether the player would like some dust on plants before dusting, even if they don't have this rule posted.
No double dipping
It means a player does not want you to try again and check the second plate after finding one wildlife. In busy gardens, wildlife won't get missed, but if your garden is quiet and you have this rule, it might mean some of your wildlife won't get spotted.
No swooping
There are a few interpretations of this rule and it's best to ask the player what he/she means by putting it there. Usually, it means you are not allowed to start watering after other players have been there trying to get wildlife for awhile. Some players set specific limits, like no new waterers after 1:50 on a fresh plate of Organic food.
