Definitions of Fairyland abbreviations, terms, and other Internet slang

AKP- Australian King Parrot

ALFF -
Astral and Legendary Fae in Fairyland - a Facebook Group for the game "Fairyland" that hosts this webpage.

Astral-
a level in the game where you have acquired 2,000 diamonds.

Back Wall
- your garden wall is located where visitors sprinkle flowers- if you click your name on the bottom right from your garden wall it takes you to your back wall. Your Back wall has the stats of what wildlife YOU have spotted and other info like your Fairies Bday.

Blanket Water
– This term is no longer applicable with the changes made on 01/17/11 as now you can water every single second if you want.  But it had meant you are not allowed to water all or most plants at once because it used to mean if all of the plants are watered at the same time, some wildlife could get missed since some of them only stay in the garden less than 5 minutes.  It also stopped other players watering for 5 minutes.  Again, this is no longer an issue.

Blocking - an option to disable someone from visiting your garden - it's not a part of the game and should only be used in cases of harassment.

Blue – A diamond

Bullies - a person who intentionally and maliciously begins or enters into a conversation (typically within the forums) with the sole intent to get a response in some way from other contributors with their cruelty and malicious postings. This is about control, and their whole basis for doing this is they feel a sense of power in being able to get a reaction from others in some way, hence "controlling you".....and winning by doing so.

Bump – Posting on a discussion thread to move that topic to the top of the discussion board - stands for Bring Up My Post

Calculator - a program that takes the work out of figuring out Alchemy, Herbalism, and the Praecocia Pots you need- it is based on your Facebook ID.

Double Dipping - a term used to describe when someone sprinkles and spots wildlife and sprinkles again and spots another wildlife - getting two wildlife back to back.

Double Legendary - a level in the game where you have reached 10,000 Diamonds.

Dusted – This typically refers to someone diamond or gold dusting someone else. There are 4 other types of Fairy dust.

Fae- A fairy (also faery, faerie, fay, fae; euphemistically wee folk, good folk, people of peace, fair folk, etc.) is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural.  Fairies resemble various beings of other mythologies, though even folklore that uses the term fairy offers many definitions.  Sometimes the term describes any magical creature, including goblins or gnomes: at other times, the term only describes a specific type of more ethereal creature

Whispering Mushroom - The Fairyland News Page.

Sidenote: some people want you to do whatever it takes to get wildlife spotted in their gardens and some do not. It is best to go to gardens that are advertised as no rules. If you go to other gardens always read garden descriptions/highlighted posts to see if the garden owner has any rules/requests before you sprinkle.

If you find quiet gardens you will have the best chance of spotting wildlife.  A lot of these quiet garden owners will be very happy that someone watered for them, and found something for them. You will also not be accused of “stealing” or "swooping" the chance away from another fairy that has not yet spotted that particular wildlife, and preempt jealousy-based drama.  An unfortunate part of the game.
