Wildlife Levels are earned by reaching certain "milestones" in the number of Diamonds you have earned by spotting and attracting Wildlife in Fairyland. They're useful because they help you to unlock new "Magical Mushrooms" for growing in your Garden - these help to deter the M&M's!
Please note: Diamonds earned from "mini mushrooms" games etc are given to you as gifts and are not counted towards your Wildlife Level - these levels can only be earned by spotting/attracting wildlife! And of course, you can happily spend your Diamonds after earning them (on Diamond Dust etc) without affecting your Wildlife Level - everything you have earned in the past is remembered.
You attract wildlife to your garden by leaving food out for them to eat. Growing different plants will help to attract different types of wildlife - some much more valuable than others. To spot wildlife, you need to water a plant in the garden - if any wildlife is there, you will see it after watering. One place to find new gardens is to hunt in the Fairyland Wildlife Guide, where gardeners will post messages inviting new wildlife spotters to their gardens.Achieving new Wildlife Levels will help you to unlock 'Magical Mushrooms' for growing in your garden (see the 'Mushrooms' section in the "Fairyland seed shoppe" for full details - you must spot and attract one of each RFH mushroom's unique mythological wildlife to advance to the next mushroom level.)Friends: Wildlife can only be spotted when a plant is watered, so the more friends you have helping out in your Garden around the clock, the higher the chance that the wildlife you attract will be spotted. Encourage your friends to join "Fairyland" so you can help spot wildlife in each others gardens! Advertise in the Forums, wildlife links, and get your garden link into the verified lists in the ALFF Group page. Some of the rare wildlife stay only a couple of minutes, so the more visitors the better.
Why is this "wildlife type" not coming to my garden?
There are a few reasons a particular type of wildlife may not be visiting your garden. Some of these things seem obvious, but I'm posting them because we have had people ask us for help, and we've run across every single one of these issues. Number 5 is one of the biggest problems for people.
1.Is your food the correct type?
If it's a veggie eating critter, do you have veggies out? I know that sounds silly, but I've seen that happen.... oversights happen.
2. Do you really have the right plant to attract the critter you want?
I actually had someone ask us why they weren't attracting the armadillo. I checked their garden and they didn't have the appropriate cactus!
3. Is your plant in the right stage?
Some plants have to be RFH (Ready for harvest), but some have to be in the FG (Fully Grown) flowering stage.
4. Do you have any plants in your garden that might be deterring the critter?
For example, if you're trying to attract a badger, you have to have a RFH fruiting Luna Serena. BUT....you have to make sure you don't have a flowering or fruiting Solaris Igniflora. This is what deters them. This can get tricky when you have something in your garden that attracts several critters, so you have to really plan your garden out before you just start planting things willy-nilly. Look at what you want to attract. Once you know what you want, then figure out what plant you need. Once you figure that out, make sure you know what else that plant will attract. Once you have that info, figure out what deters the unwanted critters, but make sure it doesn’t also deter the desired critter!
5. Do you have too much going on in your garden?
Time after time we get asked why someone can’t attract a critter, and when we go to their garden, they’re attracting entirely too many critters. This is especially important to consider when attracting something that’s rare or very rare.
For example, if you want to attract a badger, you have to have a low table with veggies. Just make sure you don’t have other plants in your garden that attract veggie eating critters! Just think about it for a sec. If you have 10 kids that like brownies, and you have 5 brownies, what happens? There’s competition. Now if you have 1 kid that likes brownies, that same kid will come back for brownies more often! The same goes for critters. If you want that badger, get rid of all the other plants that are currently attracting veggie eaters!

Please note, all wildlife images used are distorted at the request of the developer of the Fairyland game application. He states that he wants everyone to
still have the fun of seeing everything for the first time by playing and spotting the wildlife on their own and when they already get to see everything
upfront, he believes that ruins some of the fun~
