New Year Flowers Now Available!
Tuesday December 28th Celebrate the new year (and Fairyland's 14th birthday!) by planting a New Year flower! Send Gifts
The New Year Flower does not attract any wildlife so will not affect your current garden setup... but it will bring a beautiful firework display to your Garden in time to celebrate the new year. Also, just a reminder that if you have built a Festive Tree this year, you can now open the gift under it if you haven't already done so. (It's best opened as soon as possible as this particular gift expires at the end of 2021.) Wishing everyone a very happy 2022! |
Fairyland's Holiday Calendar Is Back!
Tuesday November 30th Fairyland's Holiday Calendar is back again, with plenty of beautiful new 'Snow Globe' pots to collect, along with a small number of re-issues of seasonal pots from previous years, for anyone who missed them. Get started now by gifting Holiday Calendars to friends! As a reminder, you can only have a maximum of 2 Snow Globes in your Garden at one time, so there's no need to collect too many of each one.
How it works
Each day throughout December, open the calendar door and behind it will be hiding one of the Fairyland Winter Wildlife. You then have 12 hours before the door closes again, and during this time your quest is to spot this wildlife in other gardens - the first one you spot will light up a set of your Fairylights, and every one you spot will drop a lovely new pot for you as a gift! There are 31 different pots to be collected in all - a different one each time you open the door. Important: Before you go hunting, make sure you have some space available in your storage area, or you won't get the pot. Fairylights! Like last year, the calendar also puts some Fairylights up in your Garden, which start out unlit. Then when you successfully spot each day's wildlife, it will light up one of your Fairylights. Finally, when your calendar is finished, your lights will animate :) Happy Hunting! |
It's Time To Decorate The Tree!
Monday November 29th Fairyland's Festive Trees are back again - and as usual, a small gift can be found under each completed tree, which can be opened later this month! Get started right away by sharing some trees with your friends: Send Gifts
If it's your first time decorating the tree, then you can find details about how to do it after you have planted one in your Garden. You only need to complete one tree to get the gift - it's not necessary to complete multiple trees, except for fun! It's also important that you plant and decorate a brand new tree to get this year's gift - if you continue with a partially completed tree from last year, then you won't get the gift!) Happy tree decorating! |

And finally, you can now build Snowmen (and Snow-women) again! Not sure how to build a Snowman? Friday July 30th A brand new long-term challenge has arrived today - Alice in Fairyland! How To Get Started
First, you'll need 3 empty teaset items in your Garden (can be any combination of Teapot, Tea Cup, Sugar Bowl or Milk Jug.) You can use any you may have collected in the past, or there's a new set available free in the 'Misc' section of the Pot Shoppe :) Then, leave out some food from the new 'Alice' section of the Food Shoppe (a free food option is available as usual) and have a good read of the information given in the Wildlife Guide, which tells you all you need to know. It's Summertime In Fairyland!
Monday June 21st The Summer Solstice is upon us (in the northern hemisphere) which means it's officially the first day of Summer in Fairyland! This means our Summer seasonal wildlife are beginning to arrive again, starting today with the Beehives, which will not only bring Bees but also a few other honey-loving wildlife to your Garden! Beehive gifts can be sent to friends using the links below: Send Gifts
Beehives Your Beehive will attract bees to your Garden - be sure to leave out some Wild Berries for them to feed on! Every Bee spotted in your Garden will make some honey in your Beehive. When you have 5 lots of honey in your Beehive, it will be 100% full and can be harvested. This will give you a pot full of lovely honey, into which you can plant beautiful Honey Blossom flowers. The type of honey in your hive will affect the colour of the Honey Blossom flower it grows - this then affects which type of bees are attracted to your Garden next. There are 8 different Bee types to attract/spot, including the Queen Bee at the end (each one does its own little 'waggle dance' when spotted :) To attract all 8 of them, you'll need to figure out how to gradually breed the right colours of Honey Blossom. All the other information you need can be found in the 'Seasonal' section of the Wildlife Guide (along with details of a few other wildlife such as Bears, which are attracted by all the Honey around at this time of year!) Happy honey-making! |
Woohoo, Special Offer Time!

Tip For Upcoming Challenge!
Wednesday May 12th
Fairyland has an exciting big new release arriving this summer! Which means you have a few free weeks before then to work
on other challenges you may not have completed yet.
Our tip is that if you haven't completed the Topiary wildlife yet, it's worth doing so as the reward for completing that challenge
(a Greenhouse) will be advantageous in the new challenge.
Note: Topiaries are quite an advanced challenge, and you need to have unlocked the regular 'level-up' wildlife first.
The new challenge will be perfectly do-able without the Greenhouse of course... it will just be quite useful to have one ;)

Plant An Earth Flower For Earth Day!
Saturday April 17th Fairyland's Earth Flower is back again, in time for Earth Day on April 22nd! As usual, the Earth Flower also attracts cute little Earthworms to your Garden (which are quite rare, so you may need to plant a few Earth Flowers to attract them more easily.)

New - Easter Egg Plants!
Monday March 8th Brand new for Easter this year, some Easter Egg Plants have arrived in Fairyland! These are available now as gifts for sending to friends: First, grow your Easter Egg Plant to Fully Grown.
You then have up to 2 weeks until it is Ready For Harvest to attract 5 Easter Wildlife to build the egg for you. The egg must be collected first, followed by the decorations in any order you wish. The parts are:
Ready For Harvest. If you wish, you can harvest it immediately and keep the Egg you made as a beautiful new pot! Alternatively, for those seeking an additional challenge, leave it in your Garden and you get the next 24 hours to spot or attract more Easter Wildlife and grow it bigger (the amount it grows is equivalent to the Diamond value of whatever you attract/spot.) Note: If you have multiple Egg Plants in your Garden, only one of them will be affected by wildlife attracted/spotted, with the leftmost egg getting priority. Also, should you choose to do the 24-hour growing challenge, then you can't freeze your Garden nor send your Egg Plant to your Greenhouse during this 24-hour period, however you can still harvest it at any time you wish. Have fun building Eggs! |
It's Egg-Hunting Season Again!
Saturday March 6th Fairyland has a brand new Easter Challenge arriving next week! But first, it's a good time to prepare for the new challenge by reminding yourself (or learning if it's you're first Fairyland Easter!) how to attract the different types of Easter Wildlife... First up, here are the Daffodils for gifting to friends: Daffodils attract the Easter Bunny. Remember to keep an empty "nest" in your own Garden while hunting for him as he will drop a decorated egg for you whenever you spot him in another garden, which will then incubate in your nest.
Chocolate Eggs! Just like previous years, the Easter Bunny will very occasionally drop a Chocolate Egg instead of the usual decorated ones. However this only happens extremely rarely (there's only about a 1 in 100 chance that the egg will be Chocolate.) If you do manage to get a Chocolate Egg in your nest, it will attract the Chocolate Bunny to your Garden, and will continue to attract it even after it has "hatched"! Chocolate Bunnies also drop Chocolate Eggs (for every 10th one you spot in other gardens), which means that this will become the best way to find Chocolate Eggs, once there are enough Gardens attracting the Chocolate Bunnies.
Other (decorated) eggs will still hatch into Baby Chicks as before, or you can choose to hatch them underwater (where they will hatch into Baby Seahorses - see the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide for full details.)
Not finished building a nest yet? Don't worry - so that everyone can join the fun right away, you can get a ready-completed nest simply by clicking here! (Note: The free nest will not be available if you have already collected it in a previous year.) To host multiple eggs at once in your Garden, you will of course need to build additional nests yourself (empty nesting trees are available in the gift shoppe) Look out for more news about our new Easter Challenge next week! Happy Egg Hunting! |
Woohoo, Special Offer Time!
Wednesday February 24th Great news - we have a Double Star Dust offer starting today. You get twice the usual amount of Star Dust with any purchase. Along with the new higher Gold amounts, it's a great time to treat yourself (or a friend!)
The special offer is only around for the next couple of weeks, don't miss it... |
It's A Free Superfood Weekend!!
Friday February 19th It's been a while since we last had one, so it's time for another... In case you haven't been around for a Free Superfood Weekend before, this simply means that Superfood is FREE for everyone from now until the end of this weekend!
And it's not just free Superfood... every time you collect your free daily sprinkles within the Free Superfood window, you'll get 60 free sprinkles instead of the usual 40 :) Thank you for your patience while we iron out all the glitches with the new changes! Enjoy :) |
Further Updates
Wednesday February 17th
Some important changes are happening in the game today, addressing some things which have long been overdue an overhaul!
These changes aim to simplify the overly complex and tedious process of earning Gold, close a few loopholes which were being exploited, make free play easier (within limits), make paid play even better value, reduce the number of gardens with no food out, and re-balance the game in a few other areas such as making Diamonds more useful again and encouraging active play.

Less Gold Required To Play
Places where you need to use Gold to buy things in the game have been reduced:
Important: We've made the above improvements to replace old/slow/tedious ways of making Gold in the game
(garden games, wilter snails, collect gold, alchemy, mushrooms) which are all being discontinued.
The new additions should adequately compensate for the features replaced, giving a good (and much more equal)
amount of free play to all players, and even better value if you buy Gold too :)
Other Changes
A few other minor changes to note:
We hope that you find these changes are beneficial, and overall good for the game.
The important thing is to view the changes as a complete package rather than focusing just on the things that were removed.
As always, constructive suggestions about how we can improve things even further is welcome
in the 'Feedback / Suggestions' section of our forums :)
Update: Due to popular request, a small change to the above is that garden games will be re-appearing in a new (less repetitive
and more fun) format in the future. Stay tuned for more info!
Places where you need to use Gold to buy things in the game have been reduced:
- Regular food is now completely free (and also faster - a similar speed to the old Organic) to ensure that every garden can always have food out
- Seeds which used to cost Gold now cost Diamonds instead
- Extra Storage Shelves now cost Diamonds instead of Gold
- Plants no longer die, so Gold Dust is no longer required for this.
- Instead, they just remain wilted until revived with either 2 Diamonds or 2 Gold (your choice)
- Basic Pots are now free for everyone (no need to complete 'herbalism' first, as was previously the case)

Other Changes
A few other minor changes to note:
- Diamond Dust: Can no longer be used for sending Diamonds to other players.
- Playing to win Diamonds is an important part of the game.
- Free Birthday Cake: Is now double organic rather than Superfood
- Fairy Dust (for Herbalism): All types now cost 2 Gold per sprinkle, instead of some costing more and some costing less
We hope that you find these changes are beneficial, and overall good for the game.
The important thing is to view the changes as a complete package rather than focusing just on the things that were removed.

Love Is In The Air!
Monday February 1st February is the month of Love in Fairyland, and the Loveflower is now available again for sharing with friends! Send Gifts
When flowering, the Loveflower attracts beautiful Lovebirds to your Garden, and you can also attract Cupid Mouse by using the Loveflower's Glass Vase (see the Wildlife Guide for more details of how to do this.) |
The First Flower Of Spring!
Sunday January 31st Wintertime is drawing to a close in Fairyland, and the First Flowers of Spring have just started to appear! Send Gifts
When flowering, the First Flower of Spring will attract the Groundhog to your Garden. (According to Fairyland Folklore, when the Groundhogs leave hibernation and begin visiting the Gardens again, it's a sure sign that winter will soon be over and spring is just around the corner!) Then when Ready For Harvest, the First Flower of Spring will bring springtime showers in your Garden (but remember that you need to have a cloud in your sky first, produced by a RFH "Cumulus Albiflorus" planted in a "White Marshmallow" Magical Pot - after all, there can't be any rain without a cloud in the sky!) |
Feature Updates
Wednesday January 13th We're making a number of updates to game features this month, to make the game fairer and more enjoyable for everyone. The changes address a number of places where we discovered that game features have been used in unintended ways by some players, often to gain an unfair advantage. It's likely that most players won't notice the changes too much, and you don't need to take any action. The changes are just listed here for information purposes. Blocking
Blocking now only blocks messaging between players, and no longer blocks watering ability. In very exceptional circumstances, you can still completely block someone using a "Super Block". Blocking is an important feature intended for protecting yourself from harassment or unwanted messages. While very rare in this game, it can happen. However, some players unfortunately began using this feature as part of gameplay, which has been spoiling the game for many players, who would find themselves blocked from watering for no reason, sometimes even in the middle of spending a lot of Gold trying to spot wildlife. We have therefore made changes such that blocking now applies to messages only. This means that when you block someone, you will not be able to send/receive messages with them and can therefore fully protect yourself from unwanted communication. You are welcome to use the feature freely without any restriction, as often as you like, including for reasons other than harassment (for example, maybe someone has a religious or political profile picture which you don't want appearing in your Garden.) However you can still continue to water each others Gardens, so this new blocking style cannot be misused for gameplay reasons. All existing blocks are still in place and have automatically been converted to this new style of 'messaging block' In addition, there is also the ability to upgrade a block to a "Super Block". This is a complete and total block, similar to the old style block, so you cannot even visit each others' Gardens within the game. A Super Block can never be removed, not even by support. It's unlikely you will ever need to use this, however it's provided for use in exceptionally rare instances where you really don't want someone to even water your Garden. To prevent misuse, you are limited to using this a maximum of 5 times, and after that it would cost increasing amounts of Gold to Super Block (note: regular blocking is always free and unlimited, so you can always protect yourself from unwanted messages.) Public Mode / Friends-Only Mode
"Private" mode has been renamed to "Friends-Only Mode", and it's now only possible to switch to friends-only mode once per month at most. You can also choose whether or not you want to allow "friends-only" mode players to water your Garden. The "Private Garden" feature is intended for players who just wish to play the game with their Facebook friends (not publicly) and is meant to be used as a permanent mode of playing, not something which is switched in and out of frequently. We have renamed "Private" mode to "Friends-only" mode, which better describes its intention. You can only switch to this mode once every 30 days at most. In addition, players in Public mode can now choose whether or not they allow "Friends-only" mode players to visit and water their Garden. The game also now displays whether a Garden is in "Public" or "Friends-only" mode under the "Garden Description" section, along with an explanation of what this mode means (for the avoidance of doubt, "Public" means that Garden welcomes any player to water at any time, and compete freely with each other to spot wildlife.) Freezing
You can now only freeze your Garden if nobody has watered in the past minute, or if you have empty feeding tables. The "Freeze Garden" feature is intended for use if you are going to be away for a few days and don't want your Garden to run out of food. Unfortunately, the feature was being misused by some players as part of gameplay and other players were becoming frustrated at being suddenly frozen out of a garden after spending a lot of Gold 'stalking' wildlife. The new rule is that you can only freeze if nobody has watered in the last 60 seconds (or alternatively, if you have no food out in your garden.) Combined with the changes to the blocking feature, this means that when you are actively 'stalking' wildlife, you can be much more confident that you won't lose your Gold by being frozen out or blocked for no reason, as long as either you or another player has watered in the past minute. Inauthentic Accounts
Inauthentic accounts (accounts which are not genuinely playing the game, but are just being used by another player to gain a gameplay advantage) are not permitted, and we are working on removing the incentives which have led to some players using them. All accounts on the game must be authentically playing the game, and must not exist solely for the purpose of gaining an advantage on a player's main account. We are discovering more and more inauthentic accounts being set up, and it's proving a difficult and time-consuming task for us to keep finding and banning them. The only practical solution is for us to remove the incentives which have been causing players to create them in the first place. So far, we have identified and fixed the following issues:
We are actively assessing the other reasons why inauthentic accounts are being used on the game and will make changes to address those too, until this issue is resolved. Messages
Players who misuse the game's messaging features in any way will face stricter consequences. It is never permitted to use any of the messaging features in the game to try and influence how others play, for example by intimidating them into not watering so either yourself or another player can more easily spot wildlife. The golden rule is (and has always been) that in any Public Garden, all players can water freely and compete freely to spot wildlife. No player is permitted to try and influence how others play using messaging. Players posting any kind of message which attempts this will with be issued with a warning in the first instance, just in case they were not aware of the rules. This will be a clear, unambiguous explanation of the issue, and will also explain the consequences if inappropriate messages are posted again. If the player decides to ignore this warning and the issue happens again, then they will face further restrictions, such as a temporary suspension from the game, or their ability to post messages in the game being revoked. To help us enforce the game rules, we ask that all players please report any instances where they notice others misusing the messaging features in the game, and our game moderators will take the appropriate action. |
