Sunflower Growing Challenge
Our seasonal Sunflower-Growing Challenge is also back once again - challenge yourself to grow
the tallest Sunflower you can, and earn a fabulous "Summer Pot" for different heights grown.
All Sunflowers are 20 inches in height when the flower first blooms. Then for the first hour after the flower appears, you have the opportunity to make it grow taller by spotting and/or attracting Summer Mice & Mallards. Each one you either spot in another Garden, or is spotted in your Garden, will cause your leftmost Sunflower to grow by 2 inches (or by 4 inches if it's a Summer Pygmy Mouse.)
You have exactly 1 hour to grow your Sunflower taller by spotting/attracting the Summer Mice & Mallards (note: you can't freeze your garden during this time.) You then need to wait for the Sunflower to become "Ready For Harvest" and when you harvest it, you get a "Summer Pot" corresponding to the height of Sunflower you grew.

You can now count down the days to the New Year with Fairyland's Holiday Calendar!
How it works
Each day throughout December, open the calendar door and behind it will be hiding one of the Fairyland Winter Wildlife.
You then have 12 hours before the door closes again, and during this time your quest is to spot this wildlife in other gardens - every one you spot will drop a lovely new pot for you as a gift!
There are 31 different pots to be collected in all - a different one each time you open the door. A few pots are seasonally themed, but most of them you can use throughout the year.
Important: Before you go hunting, make sure you have some space available in your storage area, or you won't get the pot. The great news here is that we have increased the maximum number of shelves you can have in your storage area to 75 (previously 50), so you should have plenty of space for your nice new pot collection :)
Finally, you don't necessarily need to open a door every day, and you don't need to complete the quest every day if you don't want to (maybe you don't like that day's pot, for instance.) However it is of course nice if you try to open each door on the correct day of the month if possible.
You must keep the same calendar to progress through the days. If you delete it, a new one will start back at Day 1.

Fairyland has a fabulous new Festive Tree this year... and it needs your help to decorate it!
How It Works
Decorating the tree is very similar to building snowmen or scarecrows - you need to collect the various items with which to decorate it - streamers, garlands, gifts, baubles and lights. That's 5 items in all.
These items are dropped by the winter seasonal wildlife - see the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide for full details.
You'll notice that the winter seasonal wildlife now drop both the snowman-building items and the tree-decorating items. However they will only drop ONE item for every 5th spot (either a snowman item or a tree decoration, but not both.) If you happen to have 2 things in your garden which need decorating (e.g. a tree and a snowman), then it's always the leftmost one which will get priority - so make sure you arrange your Garden with this in mind!
When fully decorated, the tree is guaranteed to make your Garden look fabulously festive, and it will also attract all the usual Festive Tree wildlife (including Rudolph) Happy decorating!
